Why does a cat need a lick mat?
- Whisker fatigue mat— on a flat surface, the whiskers do not touch the edges, which is why it is often chosen by cats that are reluctant to eat from a deep bowl.
- For slower eating— the food has to be licked out of the patterns, so the cat eats more slowly than from a bowl.
- For wet food and creamy treats— suitable for canned cat food or a creamy treat spread in a thin layer.
